If you are offered an interview with the program, you will sign a condition form that you acknowledge that you have to send official transcripts to the program, show proof of current BLS certification, and successfully pass a criminal background check by June 1st of the year you will be starting.

Also, if you are offered a seat in the program you will be required to complete a specified online Medical Terminology course prior to beginning the program.

Inability to meet the conditions of acceptance will result in the program rescinding the seat. The library and other academic buildings have been renovated using leading edge technology that blends in with the natural surroundings of the campus and community.

Stony Brook is working with the community of Southampton to build a new state-of-the-art Southampton Hospital on the campus which will be part of the learning environment for future PA Students. When students interview they will be asked to indicate whether they would prefer a seat in the Southampton group, the Health Sciences Center group, or if either location is acceptable.

Students will be placed based on their preference in the order seats are offered. Once all seats are full at either location, students will be offered a seat at the remaining campus location. Faculty at each location will teach both groups of students simultaneously for lecture-based sessions via live interactive video teleconferencing in either direction.
