Excludes the standard part from all parts lists. This option is visible only when you are inserting a standard part. When this option is selected, the standard part remains in the BOM but is excluded from parts lists. I've never had this issue before until now. I've pinned the same drawing 3 times this week and after shutting down each day from work, when I open up my AutoCAD , that drawing is no longer pinned at the top like it would normally be.
Image attached shows where this pinned drawing normally stays and shows the "Standard 3D drawing file that I pinned yesterday, but it shows now that it isn't. Thanks in advance for your help. Go to Solution. Solved by lbellino4. You know when you pin your software program to your task bar at the bottom of your computer screen. It works similar to drawings, where you can access drawings from this list not recent drawings that you normally go into all the time without having to search for it to open.
Image attached shows this same drawing pinned. And I never had to change a setting for this, but if I have to, to make this work, I will My pinned drawings seem to stick to the Start page.
Do you see your pinned documents there? Perhaps resetting the Recent File List in Options open and save tab will help retain your pinned ones. As shown above, there are different types of ends available on split pins. The most common is the extended prong with a square cut, but extended prongs are available with all of the other types of ends. The extended prong type is popular because it makes it easier to separate the tines. To ease insertion into a hole the longer tine may be slightly curved to overlap the tip of the shorter tine or it is beveled. The length, L, of the split pin is defined as the distance from the end of the shortest tine to the point of the eyelet that contacts the hole.
Hammer lock split pins are properly installed by striking the head with a hammer to secure the pin. This forces the shorter tine forward, spreading the pin. The diameter of split pins are standardized. Note: the angle of the wedge determines the position of the parts being held, therefore on a bicycle the pedal arms will only be at degrees to each other if the angle of the cotter pin's wedge is the same on both pins. Formerly, it was common to mount bicycle cranks using a cotter, though now usually a more easily maintained arrangement is used such as a square tapered or splined interface.
These cotters have a short threaded section at the narrower end of the taper, which is used to hold the cotter in place with a washer and nut.
